This spa and resort almost left me speechless. From the minute you park your car and take the Gondola up to the main hotel and spa, you’re in augh…. Deer Valley is breathe-taking and like all St. Regis properties, the hotel was stunning.
It was a beautiful sunny afternoon in March and Remede Spa was on the agenda. We were directed up the stairs to the spa, but immediately distracted on the second level of the hotel by the three-story glass window overlooking the snow-covered mountains. Skiers having the ability to ski in-and-out. We were questioning our decision to spa instead of ski as we gazed out at the perfectly manicured mountains. Alas, we proceed to the spa and were quickly confident we made the right decision.
We left one beautiful backdrop for another. We entered the Remede’s Spa into a circular spa shop. We were quickly checked in and escorted to the spa by the attendant. The spa attendant was pleasant and gave us the tour of the women’s facilities.
Within the women’s facilities was a hot tub, steam room, sauna and relaxation room. It was spacious, allowing several small groups to bounce around within the facilities without interrupting others. The women’s lounge had chaise lounges, couches and chairs to grab a magazine and read by the fire.
We had ordered a quick bite to eat before our service and when it was ready, we were guided down a circular staircase into a coed lounge that had two story windows overlooking the mountains. Additionally, it had a stream, slowly trickling water.
We nibbled on our lunch, sipped on a glass of champagne and waited for our service…never wanting to leave this beautiful spa.
We were called for our respective massages and escaped for an hour. When we reconvened in the women’s relaxation room, we sipped hot tea and discussed out wonderful treatments.
If skiing isn’t for you, but the family wants to hit the mountains in the winter, this is the perfect five-star luxury retreat for you.
